Designed by lighting experience specialists MK Illuminations, the scheme was produced and installed by Lucky Fox.
Celebrating the diversity of cultures in the much-loved marketplace, the multi-coloured scheme is inspired by the many colours of the national flags represented at the markets.
Central to the display are 14 sequinned flag banners, each individually comprising 12 sequinned panels. The banners hang eight metres high above the marketplace walkways and glimmer against the reams of festive lighting which trace through the two market arcade spaces.
A touch of fun can be seen in the Christmas chameleons perched amongst greenery – designed to hint at the adaptability of Brixton as a shopping destination within changing times. Elsewhere, illuminated baubles and cone-shaped trees in foil, wicker, and glitter provide another splash of colour.
